How to Connect
- CD player digital output (coaxial preferred, optical as backup) → DAC coaxial/optical input
- DAC analog output (XLR preferred, RCA as backup) → amplifier
- CD player settings: set output to “PCM Only” or “Bitstream Passthrough” — ensure DSP processing is bypassed
Important: CD Player Must Have Digital Output
A CD player with only RCA analog outputs cannot be used as a transport. Always verify the CD player has “COAXIAL OUT” or “OPTICAL OUT” before purchasing for this purpose. Most DVD/Blu-ray players also have digital outputs and can serve as temporary transports.
